BIOGRAPHY

I'm Elyas Rashidi Nasab — an artist whose journey began with a childhood obsession with drawing. Every blank page was an invitation to create imaginary characters and tell visual stories. That pure passion found its direction in 2006, and for over 19 years, I've been learning, evolving, and pushing the boundaries of visual art and tattoo design without pause. My fascination with the world of imagination was sparked by Disney animations and Marvel comic books, which steered me toward character design, cartooning, and caricature. I put my skills to the test in numerous national and international art competitions, earning multiple awards and distinctions along the way. I studied Civil Engineering at university, but never let go of art. My ongoing involvement in art communities alongside an analytical academic mindset led me to blend engineering precision with artistic intuition — a combination that sharpened my visual thinking and drew me toward conceptual character design. After years of building my craft in imaginative illustration, tattoo art became my next frontier. From late 2022 to mid-2024, I had the privilege of working alongside Master Behrouz Jones at one of Istanbul's premier tattoo studios, gaining deep hands-on experience in both tattoo design and execution. In 2025, I joined Cleopatra Ink — a global tattoo brand with over 140 studios worldwide — and worked as a tattoo artist and designer at their Istanbul studio for six months. I then made the decision to pursue a Master's degree in Graphic Design at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University (FSMV) in Istanbul. I'm currently focused on my academic studies and projects, while continuing my tattoo and graphic design work on a freelance basis. At this stage, I'm actively building my professional portfolios in both tattoo and graphic design, laying the groundwork for my future goals. The intersection of engineering and art also led me to pursue innovation within the tattoo industry. In 2022, I designed and built the MVP of Iran's first cartridge tattoo pen — a milestone that opened the door to further development in tattoo technology. In 2024, I developed a specialized anti-glare filter lens system for tattoo artists, designed to protect the eyes during long sessions under intense studio lighting. The product is currently undergoing real-world testing in professional settings. For me, art is not just a career — it's a lifelong journey of growth, discovery, and becoming. I'm always seeking the next challenge at the intersection of creativity, technology, and experience.
